PKI Introduction
This seminar teaches substantial basic knowledge of possible fields of application and the technical as well as organizational layout of public key infrastructures.
About the contents: Security requirements of companies, tasks of a PKI, symmetric and asymmetric cryptography methods, trust models, certification hierarchies, components of a PKI, legal considerations, organization and processes of a PKI, PKI based applications (Secure E-Mail, Digital Signatures).
 

Advanced PKI
This seminar requires a basic understanding of PKI and teaches in-depth knowledge of the possible fields of application, the technical demands and the management of public key infrastructures.
About the contents: PKI and related standards, components of a PKI, PKI management methods (certificate profiles, revocation lists), security levels, security evaluation, PKI tokens, PKI based applications (authentication protocols, kerberos, Windows 2000 authentication, web authentication, SSL/TLS).
 

Using Digital Signatures
This seminar shows the various specifications of digital signatures, explains the legal position in Germany as well as in Europe in detail, and describes the technical preconditions and standards for digital signatures. Furthermore you are shown organizational measures and typical application scenarios.

Implementing and Using a Windows PKI
This seminar explains how to integrate public key infrastructures based on Windows 2003 Certificate Services into your corporate IT infrastructure. You get to know about the technical basics, how to deploy Windows 2003 CA servers, using and customizing predefined certificate templates, policy and exit modules and the integration of smart cards as secure key stores. Furthermore we will teach you how to use issued certificates for secure E-Mail (signature and encryption), smart card logon for Windows, web security (SSL), VPN (virtual private networks using IPsec), as well as digital signatures by means of vivid usage examples.
