What is PDF-Gate Signer?
Secardeo PDF-Gate Signer is a server
based signature solution for generating
automated bulk signatures for PDF
documents. The application is designed
as a Windows service and is of
particular use when many similar
documents are to be signed in a very
short time. The server based solution
allows for an integration with existing
ERP, accounting and e-mail systems and
meets the strict requirements of public
authorities. Characteristic fields of
application are formular based workflows
and especially electronic billing
processes, making vast reduction of cost
and time possible.
Why PDF signatures?
The Portabe Document Format (PDF) is
perfectly suited for using digital
signatures for legally binding transactions.
The reliable display of what is to be
signed (What You See is What You Sign)
and the suitability as archival format
are some of the most striking
characteristics of PDF, aside from its
large user base.
When using PDF signatures (for example
for PDF invoices) you can save time and
costs without large reorganizations:

What can PDF-Gate Signer do?
The
server based signature solution PDF-Gate
Signer generates electronic signatures
using digital certificates, issued by a
public key infrastructure (PKI). Any
number of signatures can be embedded
within PDF documents. The user can
create either visible or hidden PDF
signatures and can limit allowed
signature operations.
All signature operations can be traced
backwards due to the protocol used by
PDF-Gate Signer. Besides, the recipient
can verify all visible and hidden
signatures within the document with the
freely available and popular Adobe®
Reader® version 6 and newer. The
software supports smart cards as well as
soft keys.
How to integrate
PDF-Gate Signer?
The PDF-Gate
Signer is integrated with existing ERP,
accounting and e-mail systems by watched
folders or command line. The Signer
supports common standards, as:

Signer runs on:
Improvements in version 1.1
With the
latest version of PDF-Gate Signer the
whole certificate chain is imbedded thus
enabling the recipient to view
additionale information about the
certificate issuer in Adobe Reader.
Additionally, other signature cards are
supported, for example Multicard 2.0
from D-Trust or the qualified signature
cards from TC Trustcenter.
Furthermore, in version 1.1 the
performance of the software was
significantly enhanced.
